Getting Started

The motivation to get started can be hard sometimes, but what is often overlooked is keeping that motivation into consistent action that actually changes how you approach your life and business for the long term.

Therefore, instead of starting with business tasks, analytics, and strategies. The best place to start is with you.

And no, it is not as hard as you might think or as ethereal as some who have you wonder. Here I want to break down how you can really get started on the road to success with a little self-analysis and introspection, and therefore inspiration first!

There are 3 key areas to focus on when doing this:

1.       Your TRUE Values.

2.       Your Gifts and Purpose.

3.       Your Self Integrity.

As we walk you through these tasks, be sure to complete them in order but remember these CAN and WILL change over time, some quickly and some over a longer term. So, it is important to repeat this exercise, we recommend doing so every 3 months for the first year, then every 6 months thereafter.

Your True Values

In being a human being, we are both blessed and a little tainted by a long nurturing period with our parents or guardians. As such, it keeps us safe, but as a consequence it taints our view and perspective on the world.

Nearly everything you know, believe, and understand was impressed upon you by your parents or guardian. It is not as if we had to go hunting or fly from the nest and learn through failure. We were simply told what’s what.

This changes who we are but also leaves us in conflict, for deep down we have our own true values, yet most of the time we are living someone else’s. These we call social idealisms; what other people believe is good and proper and will serve us. It is easy to see these by observing the following statements:

“I should do more…(reading).”
“I must …. (exercise) today.”

Whenever we say ‘should’ or ‘must’ next to a value or action of ours, it is never truly what we want to do, it is the social idealism that we fall into because we ‘think’ it is the right thing to do.

So, what are your values?

These are already how you live, some deep roots of your life and what you find yourself doing naturally. Identifying your values is the most valuable (forgive the pun) task you can complete if you are looking for long term sustainable success. That is why we have created a ‘values calculator’ to help you do just that.

If you have not received your Values Calculator, be sure to contact us for your FREE download.

Once you have your values, it is now time to figure how to bring these to the world.

Stay tuned for the upcoming blog where I will show you how to find YOUR true Gifts and Talents to bring to the world.

With love
