Going solo, well done dad.

So I’m solo parenting for the first time this week and boy is it a challenge.

But that’s not a bad thing, I’ve always loved a challenge. The thought of having to put some work in but the potential of great reward is a thrill to me. When did you last challenge yourself?

The big challenge for me was as the night time, Sophie is breast fed and a boob can get her back to sleep in 5 mins.

My twisted steel and sex appeal body is devoid of boobs, so a bottle and a rock takes about an hour to do the same trick.

Last night I managed 1.5 hours sleep. But boy the reward of waking up near her to hear her clap, see her smile, and watch her laugh was all worth it.

You see we often avoid the difficulties to stay ‘comfortable’, but is that really fulfilling? Are you moving forward, are you achieving your impossible?

In practice, the challenge of trying something new, like a script or longer care plan can seem daunting. But on the other side when patients are thriving in a lifetime and lifestyle of Chiropractic is so rewarding.

So my challenge to you this week is to see where you can get uncomfortable. Where can you challenge yourself, and how can you grow?

I’d love to hear what you did?

With love

Tom
