If I knew that was the last hour I would have with him.

How often do we take life for granted, and by life I mean our health, our relationships, the moments with others, the spectacle of healing we witness every day.

All with the ‘false’ certainty that tomorrow will come, and we will get to see it again. This repetition of life can lead to monotony, even in the most amazing of places such as the look in your lovers eye, the cuddles with your children, and the life changing effects of chiropractic.

Well two weeks ago, God slapped me for thinking this, it woke me up and I wanted to share with you as a little whisper from the universe, to enjoy each moment you have and make it count.

As many of you know our dog died two weeks ago, suddenly and only 4 years old. This knocked me for six. Now I used to have no idea why dog owners would get so upset when their dog died, now I know! I lost my best friend.

Anyway, the day he died I was taking him for an appointment with a vet surgeon about his hip, we had no idea he was gravely ill under all of this. While waiting for the vet that morning, we had an hour to wait. I though what a great time to get some work done. So I left Zorro (my Spanish freedom fighter) in his cage for that time while I did some calls and emails.

What I did not know was this was the LAST hour I would have with him!

I want to be clear; this is not a sob story but a sober reminder for you to pause!

Pause and appreciate life, this is nuanced with not stopping and giving up on your dreams. But when it comes to success there is a 360 success that so few of us attain. Often striving to achieve material success or family and relationship success, all while missing out on true success in all areas of life.

And how does this look?

It is not ‘balance’. That is a ridiculous term that leads to frustration, constantly wishing you were doing more in one area of your life while spending time in another. This could be at the work meeting, wanting to be with the family. Or when with the family, wishing you had time to finish your work projects.

The real way to achieve 360 success is to go ALL IN.

All in on everything and have a singularity of focus on each task in hand. So, when you are in the meeting, you are all in, and when you are at home, you are all in.

This sounds difficult to do. And it is. So here are three simple steps you can do to make it possible.

1.      Know what you want.
It sounds obvious, but how can you manage to achieve what you want and what you define as success if you have not planned it?

2.      Planning and diary management.
Disciple does equal freedom. Being disciplined on your schedule and time management will allow you to lose the guilt.

3.      Evaluation.
Quite often without evaluation and gratitude, we loose sight of the great stuff we have achieved.

So there you have it, time to level up your success with a 360 ALL IN attitude.

With love,

Tom
