Is your reputation everything?

Your business may have a strong brand name in your city, and where you practice may be fond of chiropractic, but all of that is built upon the foundation of your reputation.

I am sure you have heard the old notion that it takes years to build a reputation and minutes to destroy one. A scary notion really with the world of the internet and public opinion.

So my question to you this week is, ‘what is your reputation’? If I were to ask your customers, team, and patients what your reputation is, what would they say?

Taking an active interest in your reputation and working hard to improve it is essential to help your business thrive, as I mentioned it is the foundation upon which your brand and sales strategy is built and the reason behind why patients will choose to refer others to you and stay a lifetime.

Your reputation will arrive far before you do, and your reputation creates the real law of attraction in your life. So with it being so valuable, here are my top tips to help you build your reputation:

1.       Be known for doing everything you said you would.
Integrity is huge, make a promise or say you’ll do something, you better follow through. This will advance your reputation exponentially. However, do the opposite and it will crush your reputation.

2.       Be the friendly and easy solution.
Do not put up your ‘professional’ barriers, be friendly and easy to do business with. Don’t hide behind a PA/CA. Be approachable.

3.       Go the extra mile.
Do what you say as in point one, then do more. Be known as the person who goes above and beyond. How can you do that with each person today? Make the extra call, send a postcard, do something extra.

4.       Consistency.
Do not allow any of the above to become a ‘one off’. Be consistency and make it a practice to build and cultivate your reputation daily.

Remember whether you like it or not, the world is watching and judging you. Let them judge you well today.

With love,

Tom
