That something.
Beyond your certainty, deeper than your understanding, more than your embodiment, there is a special something that is the rocket fuel on the success of a chiropractor. With all the above as a granted, what is that extra something that just makes some chiropractors thrive?
Quite simply, they care.
Now I know what a lot of you will say, ‘of course I care about my patients’. But do you REALLY care, more than just trying to give the best adjustment possible.
Do you hold a space in your heart for them and their healing, do you want them to get better more than they do, and more than you want their money?
Ok, I get it, this is a hard sometimes to understand, it is that hard to describe that special something. That deep caring that either you have, or you don’t.
However, it can be learned, you can improve it. And to help you here are some top traits that those who really care do.
1. Tie shoelaces.
Nope, you are not more important than getting on your knees and tying your patients’ shoelaces.
2. Staying late/coming in early.
Going outside your ‘work’ hours to serve your patients.
3. Phone call and letters.
When someone is just off, what do you do? A simple letter or phone call goes a long way.
This blog is a hard one to write as it is the unspoken, unannounced action that is felt so much by your patients, that they grow a deeper and more meaningful trust in you.
Where can you find that something this week?
With love,
Tom
