Beat the sun and self-respect

So, it takes work, of course it does. Something I get a little tired of and I am sure you do, or you will if you’re in the game long enough, is people saying it’s easy… do this, follow that, these 10 steps or this secret formula.

Sometimes, it just requires old fashioned elbow grease. That is not to say that self help strategies, formulas and examples don’t work. Heck, those of you who coach with me, a lot of you use my scripting or work arounds. But you all know the value of hard work.

So why have I chosen to speak to you about this now?

We are in the separator month; we are in the time of the year that will either leave you behind or set you apart. What do you want for your life? What do you want for your business now, next year?

Are you still showing up with the same intention and enthusiasm that you did when you started? Are you still working to excellence, playing at 100%, seeing your tasks to completion? Or are things piling up on that to-do list, on tomorrows schedule…

If I could give you one piece of advice that I know you have heard before but to serve as a reminder, it is to check and commit to your morning routine.

Set you day up right to set yourself apart. Follow through on the first promise you made to yourself the night before.

If you said 6am wake up, then wake up and Get Up at that time. Move your body and stimulate your mind. Be sure to not touch your phone or email, don’t start your days answering to someone else’s agenda. Don’t fall into the drama and pity.

Do ‘you’ first, hydrate your body, move to stimulate your mind, and dream and think expansively. When you wake your mind is still in a suggestive and creative state. If you truly want to change your life, it starts in the morning.

I know, none of this is new. But maybe, just maybe you needed to hear it.

So, what time will you get up tomorrow?

Will you beat the sun?

With love

Tom
