Have you been Spizzed?

There is an old chiropractic podcast I used to listen to, a good 10 years ago now, called Spinal Column Radio. “Have you been Spizzed”? comes from that show.

Do you know what the word Spizz is? My understanding at least, is that it is a word that was invented by BJ Palmer meaning ‘in love and enthused by chiropractic’.

So, my question is, are you still Spizzed for your practice, have you still got that same enthusiasm that you had when you opened your doors or graduated. Are you still buzzing to get hands on with patients and see their lives change?

If not, then this could well be the barrier to your practice growth or the reason it has become stagnant. Falling in love with what we do is so key to success.

People energetically and subconsciously as well as very consciously want to work with and trust people who are enthused and confident in what they do.

Confidence comes from certainty and certainty comes from the fire of enthusiasm.

So my question again, if you really want to grow your practice, do you have that Spizz?
When was the last time you cultivated that, stop for a minute on focusing on the money, the numbers, the efficiency and start to think energetically. This how can I show up and serve as the best chiropractor possible.

And if you’re struggling, here are my top tips to get Spizzed:

1.       Gratitude for the Miracles
Think for a good ten minutes, really reflect on all the amazing people you have served who have had exceptional life changing results. Remember the potential of what you do.

2.       Read Chiropractic
Read some of the great books out there, I would suggest 33 by David Serio or One Cause, One Cure by Fred Barge.

3.       Study your Art
Book yourself onto the next chiropractic CDP. Not one about marketing or adjunct therapies, but one that is pure chiropractic. I would suggest my courses, of course (www.ascchiro.com) or Donald Francis.

It is time to Spizz up your practice, Spizz up your life and really serve your people!

With love

Tom
