Streamline or B-line your way to success?

I want to share with you a lesson we have learned over the last few months as we move out of the covid restrictions and once again find ourselves at a pivot point in the business.

I want to give you an example and encourage you to think about making long term decisions based on your future visions and plans.

Nearly two years ago now covid landed on our laps and forced us to do one of two things. A, plough on as if nothing has happened or B, pivot and make smart changes to maximise the sustainability and profitability of our businesses.

For our practice, at that time we saw a reduction in the number of people coming through the door, if only for a short period. As such we had to pivot and regrettably, we let one of our team go. After a year of adapting to the change we had two team members decide it was their time to move on. At that time the sensible pivot decision was to rehire just one team member in the pace of the two.
This allowed us to streamline our business, increase our profits while still providing great service.

Now comes the second pivot point. Things are opening again, and we are getting busier, there is a temptation to stay with just that one team member, however this is at the detriment of a five-star customer experience. Therefore, we have to now think back to our longer-term strategy and goals. As such we have made the decision to hire two more and plan for success long term.

Why do I bore you with our story? Because I know many of you are in the same boat, you have come through covid thriving and have done some extraordinary work to stream line your business, not only to survive but many of you I work with are thriving!

Now is the time to think long term again, what is your vision for 2022? Are you creating the structure and infrastructure to make that a success or will you burn your current modal out to quick?

I remember my dad telling me years ago to always “plan for success” and as such I am encouraging you to think about what success really means and how can you B-line your way there to make 2022 and extra ordinary year. And yes, the work starts now.

But remember, you can and you have pivoted successfully in the past so don’t let fear hold you back. How you do it now, does not have to be how you always do it.

So, here are my take home questions for you:

1.       What does success in 2022 look like for you?

2.       What do you need to be doing now to build the infrastructure for that vison?

3.       How can you B-line your way there?

As always if I can help assist you in any way to do that, just let me know or book a call.
